Bottle from Rob S, thanks for the opportunity. Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a huge fluffy white head that persists forever. Aromas of banana and clove with a hint of pepper, sweet sugary malt and a hint of citrus. The flavor follows the aroma. Yeasty bready sweet citrus clove and banana with a hint of earthy tartness that I wasn’t expecting. Medium body with a moderate to high level of carbonation and a slick bubbly mouthfeel. Decent brew but nothing horribly exciting.

Bottle @ Steve’s house, courtesy of BlackIPA. Pours a milky yellow appearance with a white head. Spicy herbal, peppery, lemon, light apple, quite spicy aroma. A bit tangy, lemon, wheat, light banana flavor. Not bad.

Light floral aroma in beginning. Pours golden clear with the name says. Well-balanced, but light Belgian. Some lacing, no head. Booze in the aroma. Finishes bitter with slight astringency. Tap at Blue Monk.

Drought. Golden yellow color, off-white foamy small head, doughy aroma, sour yeast taste, abrupt finish. I would not rate this as liquid gold.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall just off-white head and bunches of bubbles rising from the bottom and sides of the glass. Aroma of a belgian yeast strain, some wheat, herbs, alcohol and a hint of light sugars. Medium-bodied; Nice robust wheatie and yeastie flavours with some coriander seed, curacao, nutmeg, earth, grass, hay and light hops noticeable. Aftertaste shows mostly the yeast and wheat notes with a bit of the grassy and herbal flavours. Overall, a decent belgie with more of a focus on the lighter side of things such as the herbalness and a little spice note. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 24-February-2013 for US$1.34 sampled at home in Washington on 02-April-2013.

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, a little hazy lemon yellow colour, aroma of guava, pineapple, and teriaki, quite like a heavilley oaked chardonnay. sme tropical fruits flavour but then soap takes over with a strong belguim yeast notes. A bit too alcoholic but still quite nice.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks zvikar. Hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma of fresh fruits and light spiciness. Sweetish flavor, yeast and a bit spicy with some fruitiness and a drier alcoholic finish. Medium-bodied. So-so. Why does a 6% beer feels so alcoholic?

12 ounce bottle from the brewery. Pours a clear amber color with a thin white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of sweet malts, herbal notes, lime, spice. The taste is sweet malts, candi sugar, herbal notes and a spicy finish. Medium bodied and refreshing. A little disjointed, but still quite good.

On tap at Captain Lawrence brewery, Pleasantville, NY. A golden coloured pour with a healthy white head on top. Sweet, Belgian style aroma. Tastes quite Belgian to me, sweet, fruity, banana, slight bitterness. Very drinkable.
