Grunge Ipa has a beautiful deep amber color, tending to red. The foam that forms is white, compact and persistent. Captivating and pimping at the same time, it releases at the same time, but with excellent balance, sweet malty fragrances and strong hoppy aromas with clear hints of tropical fruit and refreshing resinous, herbaceous and pine needles notes.
On the palate the malty profile prevails, which, sweet and caramelized, leads to what is the trademark of this beer: hopping.

33cl bottle at Drink bar, Tallinn. Pours slightly hazy amber with a lastin off-white head. Fruity and slightly floral aroma with tangerines, peaches, hints of pine, grapefruit, caramel and herbs. Feels slighyly earthy too. Moderate to medium sweet with nice fruity and hoppy flavours and a somewhat dry and pleasantly bitter finish. Tasty and easy to drink. Nice IPA!

330 ml bottle into pint glass, best before 9/2016. Pours moderately hazy deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of stremaing carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, lemon zest, pineapple, caramel, toasted bread, light toffee, herbal, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with balanced citrus/grassy hops and dark/bready malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, pineapple, lemon zest, citrus rind, pine, caramel, toasted bread, light toffee, herbal, floral, grass, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel/rind, pineapple, pine, caramel, toasted bread, floral, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of big citrus/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; with a crisp malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good American IPA style. All around good balance and complexity of big citrus/pine hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle ( Best before 22-01-17 ) at Barely Legal Tasting Room Pours warm amber, rather big white head Smell is mostly malty . Taste is surprisingly bitter, with a lot of malts and sweetness from both malts and sugar ( ? ) Rather simple, not nearly as aromatic as I like them to be, or hoped / thought this would be . Not Elav’s best ... not a bad beer though

Bottled @ de Molen tasting, BB 28 03 2017, small sample. Soft aroma of some citrussy hop, bit grapefruit, quite caramelly and toffee malts. Lacks hop aroma, although it doesnt seem too old. Bit sweet in taste, bit bitter. Taste is quite ok, I like the malty backbone. But the aroma just doesnt match.

330ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with huge, thick, frothy to creamy, fully lasting, well lacing, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of black tea, peach. Taste is moderately bitter hoppy, notes of black tea, fruity hints of lemon and peach (resemblance to Snapple ice tea), a dry touch of leaves, tobacco, widely disguised caramel malty basis. Not what one would call crisp - rather, herbal and clammy. I like it, but it couldn’t gain more quality if pushed any further into this herb/tea direction.
