Grunge Ipa has a beautiful deep amber color, tending to red. The foam that forms is white, compact and persistent. Captivating and pimping at the same time, it releases at the same time, but with excellent balance, sweet malty fragrances and strong hoppy aromas with clear hints of tropical fruit and refreshing resinous, herbaceous and pine needles notes.

On the palate the malty profile prevails, which, sweet and caramelized, leads to what is the trademark of this beer: hopping.

Clear red amber color, good steady off-white head. Fruity, pineapple hoppy nose. Medium-bodied. Flavor is fruity-pineappple, some pine needles, but overall sweetish IPA. Not much grunge here but ok.

Pours dark orange with a small smooth head. Aroma of sweet caramely malts, hints of hops, fruits and toffee. Taste is sweetish and malty with notes of caramel, hops and fruits. Finish is dry, malty and caramely with some fruity notes. Quite malty and caramely IPA.

Head: beige, medium, frothy, diminishing. Color: red-amber, hazy.

Aroma: American aroma hops: pine, grapefruit, and some grapes maybe.

Taste: Bitter throughout with some citrucy fruitiness in the background.

An italian IPA up to american standards.

Bottle, Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy dark amber colour with a good sized white head. Piney hop, citrus and yeast notes showed up in the aroma. Flavour wise, sweet malts, earthy hop and notes of spice were evident. Dryish bitter finish. Somehow a bit rough around the edges, but overall a not too shabby IPA.

Bottle courtesy of sebletitje, thanks Sebastian! The 33cl bottle pours into my Tilquin Gueuze glass with a mildly opaque deep copper body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up grassy, resiny, spicy wood, muted pine sap like hops and thin rings of slightly roast to biscuit to sweet malts. The aroma isn’t that strong but what it offers up is full of resiny to harsh hoppiness. Of course the taste is similar with resiny hops, grassy hops, pine hops, spicy oak and some spicy black licorice. Behind the hops I get mild maltiness that’s a bit sweet and roasty. This is on the harsh bitter hoppy side. Decent enough.

Cloudy amber color; smal creamyhead. Strong aroma of earthy yeast, some cheese, followed by citrusy hopping, light rubber. Caramelly flavor, with some malt; strong bitterness, quite resiny before fruity, but also a strong yeast character.
Not bad, but very chaotic.

Bottle at home (from the offy in Sunninghill, Berks!) - 21/09/12. Hazy dark orange/amber with a thin off-white head that soon recedes to the edges and forms a very small lake atop the glass. Caramel malts on the nose, hops, bitter orange and grapefruit, sour fruit tones. Bitter tropical fruit flavours, orange again, citrus tones, some hops but maybe lacking a little in this department. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation but a little watery. Drinkable, but not one I’d partake in again!
