Description on the label:
Je vis le jour dans un champ de houblon … J’ai uni mon destin à de l’eau pure et de l’orge … Un fondre de chêne exalta notre passion. J’ai été choyée et affinée par De Brouwer et fils. Puis me fut offert le nom de l’ancêtre célèbre: Livinus. Mon souhait le plus ardent est d’être dégustée par une bouche connaissense ou de vieillir sous de veritables voûtes. De Brouwer = Qualité.

Hazy gold beer with a good white head. Light dry palate. Smooth and strong pale malt. A little brandy alcohol underneath. Frothy malt cream and mild tripel like fruits. Slightly warming finish. Unsubtle but hard not to like!

Bottled 330ml. -Golden coloured, small white head, light honey and alcohol in the nose. Moderate sweet malty, caramel and yeast with rather spicy finish. There’s also light hops presence but not enough to reduce warming alcohol and spices.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of orange, dried apricots and coriander seeds. Slightly vinous. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, a solid malt profile and spicy bitterness in a finish with a warming touch of alcohol. Almost full body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty, powerful and well balanced. Nice one.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Gold pour with a white head. Pear, baked apple and banana aroma. Quite fruity, splash of peach and pineapple in there. Has a tripel feel to it. Fruity-dry finish.
