Description on the label:
Je vis le jour dans un champ de houblon … J’ai uni mon destin à de l’eau pure et de l’orge … Un fondre de chêne exalta notre passion. J’ai été choyée et affinée par De Brouwer et fils. Puis me fut offert le nom de l’ancêtre célèbre: Livinus. Mon souhait le plus ardent est d’être dégustée par une bouche connaissense ou de vieillir sous de veritables voûtes. De Brouwer = Qualité.

Foggy yellow body with little carbonation, decent white head. Aroma of hops and coriander, grain notes. Taste is strong bread with syrup notes, quite heavy but not overpowering. Strikes a decent balance between a decent Belgian blonde and a super strong ale.

Bottle from La Maison Belge in Puerto de la Cruz, Canary Islands. The beer is a hazy orange-gold color with a thin white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, pale malt, and coriander. Medium body with a fruity character and flavors of yeast, spice, honey and some hops. The finish is coriander and yeast with a fruity aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Bottle, Carringtons, Chorlton. Hazy amber appearance with a thin head. Aroma was yeast laden with caramel malt notes. Flavour very belgian yeasty with in your face alcohol and some spiciness. Some bitterness towards the finish. Alright stuff but nothing too special.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Marked as best by 08/09. Pours with a largish, off-whute head and a hazy yellow body and good lacing. Aroma is butter with some peanut butter, caramel and toaste. Taste is full of diacytel, butter and metal with a bit of wet dog musk and some biscuts. A bit astringet. Fizzy and creamy with noticable alcohol.
