Description on the label:
Je vis le jour dans un champ de houblon … J’ai uni mon destin à de l’eau pure et de l’orge … Un fondre de chêne exalta notre passion. J’ai été choyée et affinée par De Brouwer et fils. Puis me fut offert le nom de l’ancêtre célèbre: Livinus. Mon souhait le plus ardent est d’être dégustée par une bouche connaissense ou de vieillir sous de veritables voûtes. De Brouwer = Qualité.

75cl bottle. Thanks to JensenTaster: Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is of yeast & malts - hay & grain. Slight citric/metallic sweet with a light vinous note.

Cloudy golden with a lasting white head. Fruity winegum aroma, with complex yeast notes. Sweet and vineous, cloying alcohol.

Thick-set, creamy & cream-coloured head, irregular and leaving lace over hazy dark-orange beer. White candi sugar, quite citrussy with a point of sourness suggested, and some alcohol. Dried citrus leaves. Dry-bitter beer, with a leafy character, and almost imperceptible sour tang. Some sweetness on the palate, but faint. Again citrus flavours. Alcohol comes out in the palate, which is pretty dry. Medium to well-bodied, despite all the sugar-derived alcohol. Nice beer, the nearly bitter dryness conforts me in the tale I’ve been spun, that this is a differently sweetened exportversion from the Kapittel Blond.

Bottled (BB 08/2009)
Hazy orange color with small steady white head. Honey, mango and some papery hops in reasonably strong nose. After this kind of aroma, beer is drier than expected. Packed with alcohol and some fruityness and spiceyness. Alcohol is warming, but not dominating. Dry finish with papery notes (hops?). A bit too simple palate, although it is decent brew (tripel I would say).

(Bottle 33 cl) Pale, hazy, golden beer with a decently sized, creamy head. Sweetish malt in the beginning but then you get to feel the hops - and this is one hoppy beer. Some yeasty, earthy notes. Decent ale if not exactly spectacular. 040399

Bottle. Asparagus aroma, reminding me of super strength lager. Golden colour, white big-bubbled head. Sweet, peppery flavour.

A hazy amber beer with a light orange head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also hints of yeast. The flavor is also sweet with notes of caramel, but in the flavor the yeast is clearly noticable.
