Named after atom bomb test grounds, designed by a French car engineer - the bikini was to many a disturbing and degrading creation and fortunately for others a symbol of emancipation. This is attractively light bodied, seductively well balanced and very drinkable Sour Bikini is anything but a sissy beer.

Tap at Borefts 2014. Pours very hazy pale yellow golden with a thin white head. Aroma is floral with tropical fruit and citrus. Flavour is light sweet and acidic. Light medium bodied with light carbonation.

Sampled @ Borefts 2014. Lightly unclear pale yellow to pale golden color, small white head. Smell and taste lightly citrus, lightly sour, a hint of sharp fruitpeel sour-bitter. Decent body and carbonation.

@Borefts 2014, oogt bleek wit/geel met citrus zurig aroma. Smaken zijn initiëel stevige citrus fruitzuren echter vlakken deze wel snel af. Maar komt over het algemeen over als een citroen radler en is dan ook niet zo bijzonder.

Tap at Borefts ’14. Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of lime zest, lemon, quite tart, but also fresh, light hoppy. Flavour is tart, lime, zesty, lemon juice, acid, hops, tart finish. Light-bodied.

Draft @ Borefts 2014. Nice fresh beer, very drinkable. Has some fresh fruity hops and a nicely balanced sourness. Surprisingly low on the alcohol, isn’t noticeable in the body, which is a good thing.

22 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Very hazy pineapple juice yellow with a bit over a finger of bubbly off-white head. Aromas of lemons, subtle hint of vinegar, a bit of tart fruit. Aromas was slightly off-putting at first with some sewage-like note, thankfully it mostly died down after a bit. Tastes of lemons, tart citrus fruits, a bit of salt. Medium-light body with a dry and tart finish. Medium-low carbonation. Solid, kind of what I’d imagine a gose crossed with a lightly hopped pale ale might taste like.

Tap @ Borefts 2014, small sample. Hazy yellow color, short head. Aroma of citrus, bit funk, bit wheat. Bit sour in taste, slight bitter. Bit cider/apple like as well, hint of lactic notes. Easy to drink, nice stuff.
