Named after atom bomb test grounds, designed by a French car engineer - the bikini was to many a disturbing and degrading creation and fortunately for others a symbol of emancipation. This is attractively light bodied, seductively well balanced and very drinkable Sour Bikini is anything but a sissy beer.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a light peach glow and a super ugly off-white centimetre tall that fades and leaves a mess on the sides of the glass. Aroma of sour grapes, light malt, a hint of funk and some wort along with vinegar - relatively pungent. Light-bodied; Grassy and almost fruit-juiced flavours up front with a defined citrus and light sweet juice flavour at first with some funk, a hint of grass and perfume then finishing with a little more sour and slightly salty element. Aftertaste shows the grapes, light oranges, pears and a lot of tropical fruit notes to make this almost hinge on the lightly sweet and sour notes than anything aside from those. Overall, a nice and very light and pungent sour beer with a great fruity kick and a super-easy-to-drink body along with some mellow fruity notes throughout. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Crystal City Wine Shop (20th Street Location) in Arlington, Virginia on 22-February-2017 for a [quite expensive] US$3,79 sampled at home in Washington a few steps away on 22-April-2017, just two months later.

Can. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of pineapple, brett, and wheat. The flavor is sour with notes of brettanomyces, lemons, and pineapples, leading to a tart finish.

Can from West Side. Pours a clearish yellow, gold with a tiny head. Lychee, pineapple and faint peach nose. Just a ton of lychee on the nose and palate as it comes to room temperature. Tart lychee on the palate with a touch of grassy hops. Pretty awesome for the 3.5% abv.

Can (from UJH?). Pours golden with whiteish head. The small head stays for some time. Aroma and flavor are sour, lemon, lacto. Finish has some dry-grapefruit bitterness. Body feels thin. Overall: not a fan of lacto cube stuff.

35,5cl can at Koht, Tallinn. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Sour and acidic; notes of pineapples, sour milk and wet hay. Not very pleasant, but somewhat refreshing still. Quite sour, but in a weird pineapple yogurty way. Prefer the regular Bikini beer from Evil Twin anytime.
