Named after atom bomb test grounds, designed by a French car engineer - the bikini was to many a disturbing and degrading creation and fortunately for others a symbol of emancipation. This is attractively light bodied, seductively well balanced and very drinkable Sour Bikini is anything but a sissy beer.

Can
Hazy blond color. Very nice aroma, iodine, light lemon. Bone dry, but not weak, and the acidity makes up for the lack of body; lemony, with a lot of character. Fresh feeling here, excellent.

Can. Golden color, smallish head. Nose hints at light fruits: apple, honeydew, lemon, lychee. Nice balance of semisweet flavors and funky sourness. Neither overpowers. Drying at the finish. Light body overall. Very refreshing. Acidity rises just a little at the finish, gives it a bite, almost tannic. Keeps it interesting.

Can. Cotteridge. Hazy, pale gold. Thin, lasting, clinging, white head. Nose has clean, tropical fruit hop. Lemon zest. Cracker malts. Sour lemon drop. Taste is tart and slightly sour. Fairly dry. Light, clean mouthfeel. Lemon peel finish. Good. Could drink this all day.

12 fl oz can. Hazy golden colour with a white foam head leaving alittle lacing. Nose of lemon rind and funk. Taste is sour fruity, lemon citrus rind, grains, with some biscuit and barnyard, plus salty hints. Creamy mouthfeel, light bodied, soft carbonation, dry sour finish. Nicely drinkable.

Canned 2/26/16, drunk 7/8/16 at Loyal Nine.
High clarity to this golden-brass bodied beer. White head atop is thin and quickly fleeting.
Simple kettle souring is apparent in the nose with earth, whitebread and light salinity. Strong minerality even rusty at times, with a big lactic finish pepperred with light lemon.
Slick texture, well-carbonated and with a good attenuation, little/no astringency despite its very low gravity. Salt, whitebread, biscuit, lemon amd big lactic notes are fairly well-balanced and homogenized but there’s a bit too much breadiness and acid buildup as the beer wears on. Stiil, a lot of respect for the abv.

Very interesting beer. Aroma is sort of a hoppy lambic. Pick that up in the flavor too along with some perfume.
