Let’s face it – we love big, flavorful stouts. As luck would have it, our friend Jeppe at Evil Twin Brewing feels the same way. We decided to brew a beer together that took elements from our favorite stouts we each produce to come together as one beer. Bible Belt takes elements we love from Prairie Bomb! and combines them with Evil Twin Brewing’s world famous stout, Even More Jesus. The end result is a smoky, spicy stout that is sure to please the pallet.

Bottle at tasting. Black oily pour. Aroma of cacao, vanilla bean and peppers. Rich full taste of earthy vanilla beans, chocolate and mild peppers. Very balanced, with a long tasty finish. Awesome beer.

(On tap @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Sept 14 2015) Pours black with a very small whitish head and no lace. Aroma of ’greenish’ chili, vanilla, cacao beans both raw and roasted, something kind of like brackish water which seemed odd, coffee beans. Becomes very chili-forward as it warms. Palate is fairly lean. Chilies really dominate, with dark toffee at the core but not a ton of malt depth. Cacao nibs with more ’greenness’, some coffee roast, and more and more and more smoky chili which contributes genuine pepper flavour more than heat. Finish has a bit of a bite though, some cola, vanilla, coffee and a fruity spiciness. Medium bodied with very low carb and no detectable alcohol. Chili peppers really own the show in this one even though it’s not particularly spicy. The other additions also contribute, maybe the core of the beer is a bit lacking compared to Bomb. That’s a high bar though, this is a good stout.

Bottle at home, 11th September 15. Big, bold black, slick. Aroma is rich, coffee, vanilla, sweet and inviting. Taste is rich, coffee, liquorice, vanilla, slight chilli kick on the finish that lingers. Fantastic. Interesting as I can really taste element from both the Even More Jesus and the Bomb, a true hybrid

Tap (Szynkarnia, Wroclaw). Totalnie czarne i nieprzejrzyste z brazowa piana, ktora szybko znika i niespecjalnie zdobi szklo. Aromat intensywny, slodki z nutami czekolady, wisni w czekoladzie, palonymi a to wszystko mocno przykryte nuta szlachetnego alkoholu, skerry, rumu. Czekoladowe w smaku z malutka palona nuta i niewyczuwalnym alkoholem, ktory calkiem agresywnie atakuje nozdrza w aromacie.
