YellowBelly are renowned over in the Emerald Isle for their innovative and bold brews. In addition to their lovely, warm welcome to our launch in Ireland and a friendship going back years, our shared passion for darker beers prompted us to design and brew a Porter. Having made several variations of porter ourselves, we wanted to do something a little different.
In our Baltic Porter, we used a cold-fermenting lager yeast strain with a clean, subtle flavour profile to allow all those stewed and roast roasted malts (all 10 of them) to shine.

Can from Park Fever, Hither Green. Black pour with a tan head. Lots of coffee in the nose, smoky malt, dark chocolate, liquorice and toffee too. Flavours of dark chocolate, oodles more coffee, raisin, liquorice, whisper of smoke. Sweet coffee linger in the finish. Very nice.

Keg at the Euston tap. A mahogany brown reddy coloured pour with a lasting G kid tan head. Aroma is rich toasted nuts, cakey, some dried fruits, little tang. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, rich cakey malts, tangy dried fruit, burnt cake, hint of vanilla. Palate is medium full, sticky, moderate carbonation. Nice.
