Pine and lots of malt. Like an old school English version. Amber pour. Rusty with some leather. Bitter. Bottle.

Always a bit of a letdown when you realize the IPA you’ve ordered is a Session IPA. (All beer menus should be written by overly descriptive beer geeks. No exceptions.) Pretty much as straightforward a SIPA as you can get, all hops, nothin’ else. Big citric-mango-pine hop notes with nary a malt to flesh them out or give the pint any soul. Bitter finish only accentuates its galling simplicity. Session IPAs seem to be falling out of favor. Good.

On tap at Ratebeer Best. Pours a hazy gold with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is tropical fruit, pine, earth. Medium body, strong citrus, light pine and bitterness, easy to drink, very good.

12 ounce bottle, 9/22/16. Hazy yellow large creamy white head, good retention. Lemony aroma with pale malt and a bit of pine. The taste is pine, lemon, grapefruit, pale malt. Thin-medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

12 oz bottle poured. Pours a golden yellow, with a ton of sediment, and a thick foam head. Very grassy hop aroma. Super grass. Some straw. Quite an aromatic experience. Flavor is a lemon juicy hop, more grass. A nice bitterness that blends nicely and lingers. Very flavorful session IPA, without the harsh bitterness that I complain about in the style so often. More so juicy. Good beer here.

Bottle. Slightluy cloudy pale yellow with small foamy white head, sweet malt aroma, low carbonation, sweet taste with faint honey flavor, thin body, abrupt finish with a bit of aftertaste. Decent, not great.
