This wheat poured a deep amber colour with a tan, rocky head. Scents include maple, alcohol, Baileys, fudge and more maple. First swig was smooth and very strong flavoured with minimal carbonation. Almost a oily mouthfeel with flavours of maple fudge, malt, toffee and caramel. Finish is sweet and thick on the palate with maple sugar lingering. Warms all the way down.

Bottle: Poured a clear copper color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of maple notes is quite dominant with light residuals sugar notes also perceptible. Taste is also dominated by woody maple notes which are dominant but also kind of pleasant is maybe tad over the top. Residual sugar notes are also present but not overly so with alcohol not really discernible. Body is lighter than expected with heavy filtration and medium carbonation. I am usually not that fond of overly sweet beer but the maple aromas kind of kept me interested in this beer.

Another great limited edition beer from FM that comes in a box. Pours a clean copper colour with a beige creamy head, decent retention and some lacing. Big maple syrup nose taking over the aroma department. Hints of molasses and toffee, caramel malts. Sweet malty taste with the maple and the hoppy bitterness shows up. It does become quite sweet with the syrup but at least the mouthfeel is not syrupy, but slightly dry. I do not feel the wheat, but an overall good brew for those who like the maple syrup. A little too sweet for my taste, for such a bit bottle like this.

(bottle) clear orange amber colour with a small wtite head; aromas of maple syrup, candied fruit; rich and sweet flavour with a long light bitter finish; like a dessert wine - those who don’t like sweet beer will hate this; quite nice otherwise

750ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a deep reddish brown with a golden head. Nose is maple syrup and bourbon. Taste is very sweet almost cloying with the maple dominating but backed by some vanilla and caramel .Even this level of sweetness can’t overcome the alcohol Mouth is sticky with low carbonation and a long sweet finish.

Bottle at Brewdown. This is the one that put me over the top as I was really in the mood for pancakes. Pours reddish amber. Nose and taste of maple syrup, bourbon, pancakes, wheat malt and vanilla. Medium-Full bodied. Smooth and sweet.

Bottle - Maple syrup and just a hint of wheat, but really just maple. Clear amber with a thin brown head. Wheat and syrup, guess what I taste? Pancakes in a bottle. Again they managed to produce a beverage that is not a beer but fun anyways. OK after a few sips it is just too much. Only an ounce per person.
