With impact as the watchword, we created this American-style DIPA with big bitter flavours, solid maltiness and plenty of hoppy aroma from an excess of Simcoe and Amarillo hops. A lot of experimenting went into balancing this brew’s rowdy components, just to give you the most pleasant whack on the chin you’ve ever had. Like all our beers, Meteorite vs. Earth is hand-made, bottle-conditioned and unfiltered to ensure the truest and most genuine flavour. This DIPA is best served fresh in a snifter. Enjoy your Modernist beer!

Bottle. Hazy deep amber liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of toffee, butter, vanilla, pine, citrus and grapefruit. Lots of diacetyl. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of toffee, light butter and citrus. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Way too mild and very buttery.

330ml Bottle - Amber with a slight haze and a foamy head. Pine, peach and grapefruit in the aroma. Tangy and fairly hoppy taste with peach, grapefruit, sultanas and apricot detected. The finish is hoppy, fruity and slightly sweet. Slightly thin considering the strength, but it’s fairly enjoyable.

Bottle. Heavy toffee and marzipan like notes from the malts. Strange apricot notes from the hops. Overall very low on hops and fruitiness for a double IPA. Maybe there was something wrong with this batch.

Bottle from Systembolaget, e-order in July 2014. (my first one from this brewery) Murky golden with a medium head. Not as hoppy as expected. Toffee, some fruit, malt and some very light notes of berries. Not that bitter. Actually a modest one.
