complex belgian dubbel aroma with layers of chocolate, malts, tofee etc. i had expected more whisky but as it is, its a pretty good dubbel aroma, where the yeasts do something, but don't dominate. reminds me of trappist dubbel. aroma is not strong. tasted fridge cold so it could improve with a bit of temperature. flavor is whiskey, toasted malts, alc. bitterness, toffee , chocolate. In a way, a bit watery, i often find het anker beers a bit in that direction. also cola nuts, yellow sugar,

Aus der formschönen 0,75er Flasche. Optisch schönes Rotbraun, leichte Perlung, in der Nase Schoko. Im Trunk schön nussig, cremig, süffig-süß, Schoko, der Whisky sehr dezent. Unglaublich gut trinkbar. Alkohol kaum wahrnehmbar, tolles Ding.

Sensory Session #110: Deep, nearly black color and a Tan head. Malty, sweet mose, cask influence, honey. Taste Is smooth but also boozy, sweet, Vanilla, Rum, raisins, honey. Sweet and warming.

Ruby beer with a solid off-white head. Smell is malty and boozy. Flavour does a good job of balancing out the qualities of a big Belgian ale and the scotch element, with both present but not overpowering the other. Boozy warmth, lots of malt, a little fruit. The whisky is smooth and warm but not especially smokey which is where these sometimes go wrong, and it has a decent body to it with a bit of a malty-sweet finish. Very nice.

Kicsi, csak a peremen megmaraó hab, sötétbarna szín. Gabonás, csokis, karamelles, enyhén hordós illat, erős whisky-s vonásokkal. Íze csokis, gabonás, karamelles, datolyás, whisky-s, vaníliás. Hidegen egy kicsit alkoholos, ami melegedéssel eltűnik és egy kis kávés jelleg is előbújik. Édeskés, testes, enyhén szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Nagyon finom.

Servida en tulipa, color marrón oscuro, rojizo al trasluz, espuma beige claro, cremosa, de buena retención. Aroma rico y complejo a ciruelas pasas, frutos secos, maltas oscuras, vainilla, licor, caramelo, madera... En boca la primera sensación en el paladar es casi aterciopelada, entra mayormente dulce, notas de ciruelas maduras, pasas, caramelo, nueces, crema batida, malta tostada, licor, pan negro, azúcar de caña, ligero chocolate de fondo, muy suave... Para mi gusto y paladar una delicia.

Bottle drunk at home after a hazy west coasty IPA. Medium dark brown, creamy looking head that's light tan. Sweet nose of malt and a bit of whisky alcohol. Yeasty, estery aroma. Very sweet on the tongue, great full complex flavor with toffee and other good stuff. Pretty smooth whisky notes, no smoke i can note. Really excellent one!

330 ml bottle, as Gouden Carolus Whisky Infused, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11.7%. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of malts, caramel, brown sugar, mild spices, dark dried fruits and Scotch whisky. Rich mouthfeel. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma.
