Variety is the spice of life. Every once-in-a-while, you’ve gotta mix things up. Our catalyst for such an excursion out of the ordinary is, um, actually spice. Spice of Life uses traditional brewing spices in a way few dare to. Forsaking traditional ideas of subtlety and cowardly “Pinch of This, Pinch of That” brewing techniques, we embrace the flavors and launch them into a full frontal assault of delicious bitter orange peel and grains of paradise. Beautifully smooth coriander compliments and orange peel perfectly.

(Bottle) Pale amber colour with lasting, frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of orange peel, dried apricots, coriander, honey, spices and buttery malt. Fruity, spicy taste with orange peel, apricots, coriander, honey, toffee, butterscotch, soft bready malt and a mild spicy bitterness. Medium body, mainly dry. Soft and rounded mouthfeel. South-west California beer that's not massively hoppy? And it works. Tasty, well balanced and harmonious. Nice one.

Bottle from the Craft Beer Advent Calendar
Hazy amber color, small head. Amber Ale, lean, not too dry, some caramel flavor, ordinary bitterness, not much malt and hop quality, and it has a light infection.

2015 beer advent. Pours a fizzy yellow/orange colour. The orange peel is quite bitter but the coriander is the dominant flavour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle, pours a hazy dark bronze with a small white head. Aroma is fairly spicy, with orange peel and toasted grains -- some Belgian yeast too. Flavour is fairly spicy, with lots of coriander upfront, a touch of orange peel and Belgian yeast. Biere de Garde -- really? Not authentic at all, but it's semi-enjoyable. Decent.

12fl.oz. bottle from Craft Beer Advent Calendar. Pours a hazy orange with a medium, white head that leaves lacing. Aroma of orange, caramel malt, coriander, straw and yeast. Sweet flavour of orange peel, caramel malt, grass and yeast with a spicy, dry, bitter finish. Medium body with a slick, oily texture and average carbonation. Interesting.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a cloudy golden with a dense and lacing white head. Nose is spicy, herbal with a touch of Belgian yeast. Medium body, a sweet fruitiness, a little subtle phenols, orange peel really coming out late. Decent. 041115
