Draught.Dark copper to brown color, fairly big yellow to light brown head. Sweet, malty scent. Sweet, malty, mineral, bitter taste. Dry, mienral, bitter aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Was served sort of cold, so might have missed more subtle notes, nice and well made though.

Draught @ The Rover. Pours very hazy red with a bubbly offwhite head that slowly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is subtle and fruity with pineapple juice, pink grapefruit juice, freshly cut grass, pine needles, tropical fruit hard candy, winegums, passion fruit, mango, lemon zest, starfruit and hints of freshly baked cookies. Taste is tiny bitter, very tiny sour and fruity with pink grapefruit juice, passion fruit, starfruit, gooseberries, freshly cut grass, pine needles, winegums coated in sugary citric acid, lemon grass and hints of biscuits and caramel. Mouthfeel is slightly crisp, tiny astringent, watery and light bodied. Finish is slightly bitter and fruity with biscuits, grapefruit rinds, lemon zest, freshly cut grass, pine needles, passion fruit, starfruit, lemon grass and winegums. Won’t be much left once the aroma hops fade so drink it extremely fresh and you’ll get to enjoy a highly drinkable and dangerously thirst-quenching amber ale that completely lacks any compost or apple notes common for the style.
