Mycket gott!

330 ml bottle sampled on August 22/23, 2014.Batch No 02, BB 27.May.2015.Even when poured fairly carefully into a nonic pint glass builds up so much head that I can’t fit the whole bottle’s content in there with one pour. Though of course I pour straight into the glass and not to the side of it.Clear, pretty much black color, though you can see through it with hints of very dark brown, especially to the bottom of the glass. Big to huge fluffy lasting head that is cafe latte in color. Roasted, somewhat bitter, hoppy, pith, citrus peel taste. Grassy, hoppy, bitter, citrus, pith, zest aftertaste. Also roasted coming through after a while. Rather smooth, though sort of low CO2, mouthfeel. Medium bitterness that is a bit dry and finishes higher and to the light harsh side. A mineral or salt like sensation, especially on the tongue. The dry roasted aftertaste seems to enhance the bitterness some. Fruity, hoppy, light roasted, fresh, cream, hints of red berries scent.Smells nice, taste more than OK. In taste I was close to setting this at a 6 after personal preference, but will keep it at a 7 still, it is the bitterness and pith like finish together with an overly noticeable roastiness that throws the beer sort of out of balance that drags down the overall for me some.

Draft. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, citrus fruits, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Draught @ Jerntorgets Brygghus. Pours hazy reddish black with a small bubbly beige head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is malty, herbal, tiny phenolic and tiny fruity with pumpernickel bread, roasted malts, liquorice root, moist grass, pine needles, grapefruit rinds, black pepper corns, lemony soap, apricots, peaches, mango, dark roast coffee and lemon zest. Taste is bitter, malty, slightly fruity, slightly herbal and slightly phenolic with roasted malts, pumpernickel bread, caramel, burnt cookies, dark roast coffee, grapefruit juice, liquorice root, black pepper corns, charred wood, grapefruit rinds, moist grass, pine needles, dried apricots, mango, pineapple, resin and hints of smoke. Mouthfeel is round, slightly astringent, slightly soft and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter with roasted malts, burnt cookies, dark roast coffee, grapefruit juice, lemon balm, grass, pine needles, grapefruit rinds, salty liquorice candy and lemon zest. Smells nice and tastes even better. Close to a perfect easy-drinking BIPA but not all the way there yet...

Black color with creamy head. The aroma is penetrating, very nice: coffee, hops, spices. Good mouthfeel, soft; the body is lean, chocolate and roasted malt flavor with a nice spicy and hoppy edge, a bit fruity; more coffeish in the end.
Very good.

Draught @ Brewdog Bar, Stockholm
Pours pitch black with a smooth white head. Aroma of sweet licorice, salty fruits, roasted malts and hints of yeast. Taste is sweetish, salty and fruity with notes of licorice, roastiness and yeasty notes. Finish is salty and roasty with some fruity notes. Okay black IPA, quite heavy on the licorice notes though.
