Bottle from Systembolaget. Almost black with no head. A lot of spices in this one, ginger and some cinnamon. Also pepper, licorice, ash and chili. A lot of carbonation. A strange beer, hard to rate.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with a small tan head. Aroma that I guess can be called spicy if you really stretch it. Flavour is not nice. I do love spiciness and chili and had some hopes for this beer. It didn’t live up to them, or to anything else for that matter. Really disappointed.

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with a very fast dissipating, small to medium light tan head. Aroma of smoked chilli, bell peppers, green chilli, coffee, spices, licorice and tobacco. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with a bit of a chilli burn (not that much) and notes of green chilli and spices. Medium bodied with a bit low carbonation. Quite nice. Smells a bit too much like gingerbread though.

Bottle - Black in colour. Dried fruit, roasted malt and a hint of smoke in the aroma. Dried fruit, roasted malt and plain chocolate in the taste, with notes of fruitcake in the finish.

Can pours deep amber with a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up some dark roasted malts, molasses covered cinnamon graham cracker and then a nice level of chili pepper. The taste delivers dark roasted malts, some sweet molasses and a sense of cinnamon. It gets to a modest degree of chili pepper taste and heat heading into the finish. Pretty nice.

Pour is a black outta the can. Aroma is a nice roasted malt with some spicy peppers. Flavor is a minor roasted malt with a little hot pepper kick toward the end. This is a beer that would deffinatly be better with food. On it’s own it’s a regular stout with some hot pepper spice added to it.

Enjoyed on tap at Rockwell’s in Chicago, IL while waiting to pick up food. Very interesting and delicious. Appearance is pitch black, moderate thickness with a thin off white head. Aroma of cocoa, cinnamon, spices, and chocolate. Taste is rich with cocoa nibs and has a very very light touch of spice from the peppers. Great stuff, hope to have again.
