Schramm’s Nutmeg utilizes the seed of a tropical evergreen, Myristica fragrans, native to the islands of Indonesia. Its aroma is warm, creamy and full-bodied, making it a seasonal favorite for chilly fall evenings. Paired with honey, nutmeg creates a concentrated, voluptuous mead which pairs beautifully with fish and roasted poultry.

375 ml bottle. Batch 2. Pours a deep amber color. The aroma had honey in forefront followed by mild nutmeg spice. The flavor, like the aroma, is honey and nutmeg. Palate is full oily. Finishes long and sweet, a bit cloying. Overall: Quite nice, but the nutmeg came across as a medicinal at times.

Deep yellow body. Aroma is a bit off, with some glue-like notes, spices and honey. Taste is beautiful though, rich and thick, with sweet, floral and nutty honey, spices. Very oily mouthfeel. Finishes rich, sweet, with long-lasting honey. If it wasn't for the quite strange nose, this would be simply amazing! Tastes so rich, with lots of depth and complexity. Score: 7 / 4 / 9 / 5 / 16

Pours a clear blonde, scent is full-on, natural honey, mild funk. Nutmeg is rather subtile. Taste is full, swet, intense honey. Mild, but recognizable nutmeg. Very sticky, sweet. Lovely !

375mL bottle, pours a clear golden. Aroma reveals exquisitely intense honey, gentle nutmeg, and wildflower nectar. Flavour is full of wildflower nectar, gentle nutmeg, and beeswax. The nutmeg is really subdued, which is fine by me, as the honey really shines. Far from their best but the honey character is truly excellent.

Who tf would buy nutmeg mead? Me, that's who, and after tasting it I'd do it again multiple times over. It's nose is definitely where the nutmeg is upfront, ready to say hello but you're worried about that sip, then the front is delicious cake.

Bottle. Pours clear golden, still. Aromas of sweet perfume, honey caramel, light spicy notes. Taste has sweet honey, caramel, overripe mangoes, peaches, light spice, ginger, light nutty notes, cinnamon.
