Schramm’s Nutmeg utilizes the seed of a tropical evergreen, Myristica fragrans, native to the islands of Indonesia. Its aroma is warm, creamy and full-bodied, making it a seasonal favorite for chilly fall evenings. Paired with honey, nutmeg creates a concentrated, voluptuous mead which pairs beautifully with fish and roasted poultry.

Bottle. Pours clear golden, no carbonation. Aroma is field honey and spices. Flavor is fully sweet, exotic, honey, spices. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. This is really really excellent. I would never have called out nutmeg, but it has a gentle spiciness and is just sweet enough for a desert mead without getting sticky and gross. Hella grate.

A golden mead with aroma of sweet honey with alcohol warmth, tobacco, light green pepper, nutmeg, interesting. In mouth, sweet honey with light nutmeg, tobacco, celery salts, silky honey finish, alcohol warmth, very nice.

Bottle. Honey and nutmeg aroma. Golden yellow. Very sweet honey, nutmeg, and lightly bitter hay flavor. Nice body and balance - just enough nutmeg to make it enjoyable.

Thanks Greg for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing well filtered golden honey. The nose shows hints of honey with light baking spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is full bodied. Moderately sweet and honey forward with very light baking spices throughout.

Like liquid gold honey, with cloves and honey, so deep. Smooth. Never too sweet. Nutmeg is moderately strong. So smooth. Big sweet honey nutmeg finish.

Sampled at Vintage Estate this mead poured a brown color. The aroma was sweet with tannin, caramel and strong nutmeg. The flavor was very sweet and tangy with notes of honey, nutmeg, ginger and a hint of tannin. Amazingly long finish. Full bodied. Ambrosia!!

Refrigerated 375 ml tall skinny clear bottle poured into a glass. Aroma is slightly herbal honey, medium body, and syrupy texture. Taste is nutmeg and long sweet rich honey finish. Nice mead, borderline cloying, better as it warms, but I prefer #dragons arereal.

375ml bottle thanks to Steve. pours out a clear crisp pale straw color Nose is big honey sweetness nutmeg perfume. Taste is more spice big sweet honey nutmeg and a nice floral note.
