Pounder can from the $1 clearance rack, yea baby! Pour is big and almost black with a tan creamy head that fades fairly quick. Taste is overall well behaved, but does show a little bit of its alky content; easy drinken for a near 7% beer. Yes, I like dark beers and this is no exception, its smooth on the palate and goes down without any heat or volatile indices. Smell is decently malty and dark as well. Must say, not as smooth as an oatmeal stout should be but it's ok by me. Pretty good beer tasting experience. Friendly and well mannered; right up to the last drop. Finishes with just a tad of dark burned malt but not enough to say it tastes like old damp bitter partially burned campfire wood.

Can thanks to Matt. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa and roasted malt. Slick body, chocolate, roast, cracker, dry finish, very good.

Label says 5% ABV. Very flavorful and rich to be this low in alcohol. Notes of dark chocolate, cascara, cola, and roast, with a nutty backbone laced with anise and a touch of pine. Finishes modestly sweet. Very drinkable.

Can, alc. 5%. Almost black beer, a head is big and light brown. Aroma has roastiness, cholate, coffee, nice. Taste has roastiness of coffee, sweetness of lactose, light coffee. Medium bodied. Nicely balanced.

Can, 5% ABV. Very dark brown with a brief, loose tan head. Aroma is roasty with coffee, hints of nuts, brown sugar. Pretty light bodied with medium low carbonation. Just on the the dry side but with hints of bready (and oaty) richness as well as roast, less coffee than suggested by the aroma, firm bitterness. I like the richness and then the way the bitterness grips.
