16 oz can from a four pack. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, raisin, dark bread, molasses--smells rich. Pours black with a one finger dark tan head that falls pretty quick into a ring. Taste is sweet and rich before turning bitter. Kind of harsh. I canβt find an ABV on the can, but it tastes stronger than 6.6%. Tastes like an imperial stout. The date on the can says 7/18/16, so itβs over a year old. Not sure if itβs age has anything to do with its harshness.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown with a darkish, creamy tan head. Aroma of treacle and perhaps vanilla. Med body. Flavor starts with smoke, gets to the treacle, and finishes with slight bitterness - smooth burnt malt. Not so sure this is a sweet stout - not getting lactose - but, hey, it tastes great.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on Memorial Day weekend. Appearance is pitch black, not much head, not too carbonated. Aroma is very rich in chocolate and oats, light coffee. Taste is pretty good, licorice notes in there as well. Nothing extravagant about this, just a straight forward stout.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a little roast a little sour not much after that. Flavor is a better roasted malt. Not a huge roast but just enough. Finish is a bit dry and ashy. A little bit below par for the style. Not a big roast and no real chocolate or coffee.

Black with cola-esque fizzy fading head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of sweet dark malts. Hints of coffee and condensed milk. A bit thn and watery. Too much carbonation too.

Can from Beer Gonzo. Black body with a thin tan head that slowly fades. Faint lacing. Aroma of filter coffee, fruit pudding and brown sugar. Flavour of sultanas, honey and chocolate. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Itβs a bit on the thin side but I loved the tangy, stewed fruit notes.

16 oz. can, pours black with a medium brown head. Aroma brings out lots of sweet oats, dry cocoa and toasted malt. Flavour is quite dry, with lots of oats, toasted malt and bitter dry cocoa. Fairly dry, with a hint of residual sweetness. Underwhelming but competently brewed. Solid.

CAN 16 OZ. Really dark brown, dark espresso head which disappears in a minute. Harsh roasty nose, with very little sweetness and distinctive oiliness. Similar taste, roasty and oily with a little puke in the finish. Prickly carbonation, no smoothness. Below mediocre.
