On tap at Macro Beer Fest Maribor 2017. Shared with lovely Anja. Dark brown, small head. Very strong coffee presence, acidic, some vanilla. Coffee and chocolate flavours, great balance. Medium body, soft carbonation, smooth, lasting coffee finish. Nice, smooth, strong and aromatic.

500mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out bitter coffee upfront, with light metallic notes and medium roast. Flavour is along the same lines, with metallic notes, bitter coffee and medium roast. A little too metallic, with a bitter finish. Solid.

Bottle, 0.5l. Pitch black pour, thin layer of beige head. Little to no lacing. Very nice on the nose - roasty, malty, strong coffee notes... Yummy. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Thick texture, creamy mouthfeel. Medium bitter taste, pleasantly roasty. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee grains, plums and raisins. Cocoa powder. Caramel Cappuccino-like aftertaste. Dry and bitter finish. Overall, this one was quite tasty. Silky smooth and nicely balanced. Good stuff.

On tap at Hop In. Very dark, almost black brown body with an off white head. Strong aroma of coffee beans and vague chocolate. It shows its colors immediately and in a good, strong way. Creamy taste, completely coffee-dominated, coffee liqueur, ends slightly too abruptly and maybe kinda limp, with the vague but persistence alcohol presence that shows up in the taste becoming a bit more evident there, and that’s not a combo I love. It’s a good, interesting beer, but not one of their beers I’ll return too often, despite my love of coffee. Luckily, they make plenty of other great beers, so no problem there.
