On tap at Les 3 Brasseurs Mondeville. Poured almost black topped with a small tan colored head. Mild roasty aroma with some mild coffee notes. No real taste of this one. Just some watered down coffee taste. Poor one, really.

Draught as "Les 3 Brasseurs Brune" @ Les 3 Brasseurs, Montreal, QC
Pours reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma had notes of malt, caramel , light roasted and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel, fruity and grassy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft

On tap at the Montreal brewpub, as Brune. It pours an almost clear body, auburn color, topped by a finger-thick beige head. The aroma is lightly roasted, with some coffee, nuts and bread. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, as well as the roasted malts, bread, nuts and caramel known from the aroma. Some sweetness, but it ain’t really sweet. Full body, soft carbonation and a lasting finish. Tasteful and almost refreshing this one. 150612

Waiting on a train in Lille I tried 4 tasters. This was was advertised as Brune, and it was certainly not a stout. Nice clear deep dark brown color. Light beige head. Aroma’s: caramel, dark malts, with roast, drop/licorice, and caramel/sweetness retronasal. Flavor is moderate sweet, light roasted. Light bodied. Finishes somewhat roasted, droppig, light bitter. Like everything I tried here not spectacular, but decent.
