12/5/2018. Bottle at the Ipswich bottle share, from Naiv, Frankfurt. Pours black with a tan coloured head. Aroma of chocolate, malt, caramel, biscuit, liquorice, fruit, hint of coconut. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Full bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation. Really good.

Bottle from the ReWe in Munich Aldtstadt. Pours dark brown with a very decent tan head. Aroma of chocolate and dark treacle. Near full bodied. Flavor is very chocolate, seems to have coffee. Pretty dark malt. Decently hoppy.

Creamy light brown head stayed well on a near black still body. Bitter berry, licorice, sweet coffee & herb aroma. Medium body, smooth on the palate with a tingle on the back. Bitter coffee, sugar, Christmas cake, dark spirits & a citrusy finish. Very very nice...

Burnt malts and burnt sugar, caramel, toffee, alcoholic notes, ashes, tobacco, burnt breadcrumbs, coffee, licorice, williams pear schnaps. Strong bitterness with some alcoholic sweetness. 33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Trinkgut, Kleve. Dark brown with a thin beige head. Roasted malts and molasses aroma. Sweet taste with earthy nutty notes. Not overly roasted stout but nice enough.

Bottle: Poured a black color stout with a nice large brown foamy head with some retention and light lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some black chocolate notes is enjoyable. Taste is a nice mix of dry roasted malt notes with some black chocolate notes with light residuals sugar notes and a pretty dry finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Well brewed as per style guideline but nothing earth shattering either.

Pours a dark brown colour with tiny copper highlights. Big creamy mocha-coloured head, good retention and some foamy lace. Roasted malt aromas with liquorice notes, dark fruits (dates), cocoa, coffee, alcohol and some hops. The taste seems pretty smooth overall with liquorice, roasted malts, smoked wood and chocolate malts. Some nice dryness and bitterness in the finish. Pretty good all-around, but nothing out of this world.
