0.33 l bottle from my Secret Sint 2015 (bedankt!), best before January 2020 (assumingly one year old). Clear, very dark red to black with a medium large, creamy, almost stable, brown head. Sweetish, roasty-malty, slightly fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa and dark ripe fruits. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa and hints of dark ripe fruits, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Very round and well-balanced, not overly complex maybe, but satisfying for sure. Good!

Thick, rusty-beige, quite stable head over virtually black beer. Black chocolate nose, bit of coffee, coffeemilk, roasted coffeebeans. Bitter; burnt & hoppy at the same time. Bitter chocolate, toast, bitterish spices, hay. Hops keep peeking through, Hessian hopsacks. Longlastign flavours, becoming more rounded in the aftertaste. Well-bodied, rich, velvety feel, well carbonated. Grew on me - far from bad!

33cl bottle pours with a nice dark body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up chocolate, toasted bread, a dash of molasses and faint spicy black licorice. The taste delivers a thin body that ushers in a pleasing load of chocolate goodness. The chocolate runs from front to back. In the background are modest levels of dark roasted malts, sweetened coffee and some spicy black licorice. Into the finish a thin ribbon of burnt malts help take this to a pleasant conclusion.
