The new beer is Barrel-Aged Bible Belt, a 12 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with cacao nibs, chili peppers, coffee and vanilla beans before being aged in Heaven Hill whiskey barrels for between seven and nine months. As the name suggests, the base beer is Bible Belt, a 13 percent imperial stout first released in 2014 that combines Evil Twin’s Even More Jesus imperial stout (12 percent ABV) and the same spices and other adjuncts that are used in Prairie’s Bomb! imperial stout (13 percent ABV.)

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 17.08.20. Dark brown. Pale brown head and lacing. Aroma and taste of dark malt, mild whiskey, herbs and heavy malts. Well-balanced and drinkable.

Semmi hab, vöröses árnyalatú fekete szín. Kávés, kakaós, paprikás illat, aszalt gyümölcsös és némi vaníliás beütéssel. Kakaóporos, kávés, aszalt gyümölcsös ízek, vaníliás, paprikás aromákkal, és a whiskey-s hordó enyhe fás fanyarságával. Enyhén édes, testes, jelzés értékű szénsavval, közepes keserűvel. Nehézsúlyú versenyző, tökéletes egyensúllyal. Isteni.

Bottle split 2 ways. Pours pitch black with a small bubbly brown and quickly dissapearing head. Aromas of chili, peppery coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate. Taste has lots of cocoa, chili spice, fruitiness, vanilla, milk chocolate, fudge.

Bottle, thanks MarcoDL for this gem. Black. Roast, bourbon and coconut in the aroma. Caramel. Full bodied. Low on carbon. Malty sweet, thick, coconut, dark chocolate, roast, bourbon and vanilla. Pepper. Complex, alcoholic. Really delicious!

35,5 cl bottle @ olio. Thanks! Aroma is sweet with calvados and coffee. Also licorice, liquor and sweet malt. Flavour has calvados, sweet malt, syrupy tones, licorice and bourbon tones. Finishes with some coffee tones and warming alcohol. Quite a lot on the sweet side but nice anyway.
