Stoked to finally try my first Fantôme! Somehow didn't realize this would actually be green. Huge funky yeast aromas, immediate sip was pretty shocking but I'm really getting into it. Has the bitterness of a grapefruit but without the sourness. There's

Bottled. From Pien Shop 18.6.2021. Poured deep golden in color with a steady white head. Full of flavour and aroma. Floral, lime notes, light peppery notes and light spiciness. Can´t really pinpoint what spices, but blends well. Light but very drinkable.

(Bottle, 0.75 l - BBE 2021, from Pien Shop, 20210326) The beer poured at first golden but later green(!) and rather cloudy. Its head was huge, white and it lasted long. Aroma had fruitiness, spiciness, sourness, Belgian style yeast, black pepper and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spiciness, black pepper, grass, Belgian style yeast, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. Complex and tasty brew. Bit harsh finish.

25dec2020: Bottle. Color: Hazy light green, very large greenish white head. Looking really weird. Aroma: Yeasty, lemon, malty, spicy. Taste: Spicy yeast, herbal, white pepper and lemon notes, malty, wheat malt and straw and grassy and citrus hop. Lemon / lemongrass coming and fading during each gulp. Medium body, average carbonation. Dry-ish and bittery finish. Weird, typical Fantôme. Nice one. 8 4 7 4 15 3.8 Update 25 feb 2022: Bottle, bb date end of 2021. Color: Hazy green, very large greenish white head. Very unusual. Aroma: Yeasty, hoppy, spicy. Taste: Spicy, cardamom, coriander, yeasty notes, malty and at the same time hoppy base. Wet grass and cloves hints. Bitter lemon- and orangepeel. Medium body, average carbonation. Over medium bitterness. Dry and bitter, spicy finish. Love the bitterness. 8 4 8 4 3.9

Bottle from Gleemer imports via those idiots at the LCBO. I'm not perfect, I'll admit it. I've had green beer before, but of that questionable St.-Paddy's-of-my-youth way. I'm not proud. But this is of a different sort all together. This vaguely green-gold brew is just chock-full of herbal organic flavour, mild peppery bite, soft straw malt, and a pinch of citrus. It starts off a little odd, but a few sips in grows on you. Definitely not for all, but I find it a great way to have my spinach.

Keg @ Roberto's Tasting Room, Birmingham. Pours misty green, thin white head. Aroma presents an interesting herbal floral sweetness. Taste is lightly herbal with some unexpected mouthwash notes, underlying farmhouse funk and grain. Fine, entertaining but a little odd.
