An IPA with a citrus kick, Virmalised GF uses a blend of hops and fresh grapefruit.
Taste: Sweet fresh citrus mixes with a refreshing acidity before more citrus joins the party, intertwining with a sweet biscuity malt character. A hoppy freshness comes in after the initial citrus kick, reminding of classic Virmalised flavours, before finishing off with more zesty grapefruit .

On tap at Craft Room, Opatovina, Zagreb. Hazy pale golden, orange glow. Medium to large frothy off white head. Aroma is moderately hoppy, sharp citrus oil, grapefruit juice, tangerine juice, zest and resin. Toasty background. Not overwhelming which is good. Flavour is gingerbread, zest, citrus juice and oil. Toasty finish with a dose of bitterness. Refined. Medium body. Moderate finish. Drinkable. Good balance. Liked it.

On tap @ Ghetto Something. Aroma of citrus, caramel and resin. Pours cloudy amber color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet malty and resinous, following is refreshing citrusy, zesty and herbal, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Juicy GF...

Bottled 330ml. -at Valhalla Zagreb. Darker golden coloured, medium sized white head, mild grapefruit in the nose. Sweet malty, light grapefruit, some caramel and touch of alcoholwith bitter/sweet finish. Not fresh taste unfortunately, pitty.

Tap at Valhalla. Murky orange-amber body with a white head. Malt-driven aroma, stale, light grapefruit. Malty, candyish taste, light grapefruit - was this saving a sub par batch of Virmalised? Unsure, but this just feels old. The base IPA certainly isn't in shape, and the grapefruit, which is light, didn't help that much. Oh well... A waste of money, sadly.

Vom Fass auf den Berliner Braufest 2016-09 getrunken. Der Einsatz der Grapefruit macht dieses IPA sehr fruchtig und überdeckt die Hopfennoten die mir bei den einfachen Virmalised mir noch sehr gestört hatten. Feines Teil!

Oranjegeel bier met veel stevig schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en fris fruitig met overduidelijk iets van grapefruit en abrikoos.
