12 oz bottle on 30th Sep 2016: The Crown Inn, Oakengates. Dull dark orange bodied brew with a thin head and collar. Piney and resiny hops rule both the nose and taste. My delicate English palate could just about manage the hops, I personally would have prefered a little more sweetness in the brew, but I did enjoy the experience of drinking this.

330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours hazy amber, good white head. Aroma presents leafy pine hop with a citric nod. Taste is fruitier, but slick and rather tame with an unfortunately low bitterness. Sweet malt base takes president. Despite the criticisms it’s a nice sipper.

Bottle at Ravintola Kirjakauppa, Pori. Dark amber color, good off-white head. Piney, fruity aroma with hints of caramel. Medium-bodied. Crisp, active carbonation. Quite dry flavor. Pine, pine needles, even wood. Light fruityness. Some caramalt. A bit too heavy carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has light citrus and grass backed by a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has grain with a slight sweetness and a decent amount of grass that has a touch of bitterness.

Bottle - gusher. Sour sweet fruity malt aroma - smells and behaves infected. Hazy pale amber with a large loose head. Yup, I’d say infected. Sour toasty malt, and herbal hops flavor. Medium body.

Piney, grassy, nose with hints of strawberry. Cloudy amber, medium head. Milder grassy flavor. Medium body. Really lacking in intensity and personality.

Clear copper - soapy lace - thin and watery texture - tastes a little metallic and coppery up front - lightly citric and woody hops - moderate acidity followed by some bready malt and light caramel - meh.

Bottle. Amber in color with a slight white head. Light citrus aromas, but not much else. The Cascade hops are nicely balanced with some sweet caramel malt. A very sessionable beer. Just remember APA not IPA. I have seen low ratings on this for various reasons; diacetyl, metallic, sour, etc. I tasted none of the sort.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber orange with a large white had that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine resin, and a touch of caramel. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet with a light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Quite nice, actually.

12 ounce bottle from Badger in Beloit. If Beloit, Wisconsin has a better beer store, I’d be surprised. Then again, Beloit College REJECTED me so I don’t exactly have an encyclopedic knowledge of the town. Pours a hazy amber color with a very large frothy offwhite head. Good head retention and lacing. Slightly green floral hop aroma with a bit of a chlorine note. The taste is candied citrus, chemical notes, faint malts. Tastes weird. Kinda like how I’d expect windshield cleaner to taste. The palate starts strong but instantaneously falls flat. This is just a weird beer.
