Limitedly made collab of Senne with Half Acre in Chicago (the windy city, hence the name), bottle at Barazza in Ghent during the Gentse Feesten - quite an unexpected find, as I had never heard of this one nor did I expect this pub to have such a rare Senne beer on offer. Egg-white, frothy, dense, stable, cobweb-lacing head, misty peach blonde robe with ochre-ish edges. Aroma of dried orange peel, wormwood, fried tomatoes, dried thyme, ground peanuts, white pepper, grass, black radish peel, jute bags. Dry fruity onset, unripe banana and dried apricot aspects, medium carb, rather soft bready maltiness with a dusty and nutty edge; long rooty, earthy, leafy hop bitter finish, citrus peel and light mango touch, fruitiness lingering, bready and spicy-yeasty aspects as well, generally dry but with a juicy hint to it as well. American East Coast style IPA meets Belgian saison (and Senne's house yeast character), very nice and easily drinkable.

Bottle at home. Cloudy golden with a big and lasting head. Juicy tropical aroma of ripe peach and apricot, tangerine and melon, with obvious notes of brilliant spicy Senne yeast. Sweetish fruity flavour with spicy notes, medium bitter hops and a lovely dry finish. The combination of juicy fruits and Senne yeast is something else.

Bottle @ Mikkeller, Odense. Years back I was lucky enough to taste their IPA collab with Lost Abbey. Big expectations as always with De La senne but my mind is just blown. Red grapefruit, citrus, yeast. Enormously clean and the hops shines. Its bitter, lip smacking and super crisp. Long finish. Fiending for more as soon as my hand let go of the glass. Superior!
