Bottle in Blåbær Lambik queue @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen. Pours oily, pitch black with a small brown head. Notes of olives, dark hard roasted bitter malts, bread, licorice, booze. Fuck, I do not like these. At all.

Almost black with a thin head. Aroma full of almonds, molasses, liquorice. Intense sweet taste. Thick and heavy with a big boozy finish with all the warmth you‘ll ever need to survive the long Norwegian winters. Or so I imagine.

Taster, many thanks to Sander! Black body, with a tiny, beige head. Aroma of tobacco, cocoa powder, soy sauce, coffee, caramel, vanilla, molasses, slight fruity hops. Tastes similar, with more booze. Full, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes warm, boozy, sweet, roasty, a bit dry, wooden, a bit hoppy, with soy sauce, cocoa powder, tobacco, molasses, coffee. Tasty. Boozy and really intense, while still well balanced, with an oily, sweet and roasty character. I really like the mix of soy sauce and thick sweet layers here. Great sipper. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16

Taster courtesy of Sander, big thanks. black color, almost no head. smells of soy, boozy, molasses, mushroom. ok smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes of booze, light soy sauce, mushrooms, molasses, marzipan, earthy. finishes boozy and sweet with notes of molasses, some soy and peppery notes. did not like it at first, smell is weird, which did not change, taste is quite boozy and heavy, but got quite a bit better once it warmed up.

Bottle that we picked up from Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte, nr Kortrijk, West Flanders, Belgium, consumed at our Bratwurst and Beer leaving do, evening at the Crown, Charlton on Otmoor, Saturday 23rd February 2019. A huge beast of a beer. Pours black but not deep or too dark, small head atop. In the mouth and on the nose coffee followed by molasses and dates. It's sticky but surprisingly smooth, it drinks easier than it should considering the hefty abv. It's a good though not great beer.

A black beer, a head is quite small and yellowish beige. Aroma is strong and nice, salt liquorice, liquorice, sweetness with candi sugar and dried fruits, alcohol can be noticed but it's not bothering. Taste has salt liquorice, quite strong sweetness of dried fruits and malts, but it's still kind of balanced, also herbal bitterness, strenght of alcohol can be noticed. Not so full bodied as I expected, actually the body could be stronger. Overally, dangerously easy to drink. Strongly at the sweet side, but still balanced, not-so-complex as expected, surprisingly easy to enjoy, great beer.

From tap at Mi2 at Cardinal 17.09.18. Very dark brown. Pale brown head. Aroma of liquorice, roasted malt, wood, pine, spice cakes, bark and creosote. Wonderful taste of sweet spice cakes, dates, wood, bark, herbs and pine and juniper bitterness.
