Hazy orange color, small white head, some lace. Very fruity mango, passion fruit, pineapple and pine aroma. Medium-bodied. Very fruity IPA - lots of pineapple and mango with backing alcohol and late bitterness. Nice warming aftertaste.

Orange and lemon peel aroma, fairly strong. Some dandelion and light honey notes as well. Opaque amber, thin head. Juicy whole orange flavor More like juice in the beginning and peel in the end. Distinctive and delicious. The orange juice of beers.

Shared this with a friend on Christmas 2008. Pours a bright golden orange with a fluffy off white head that persists through most of the glass. Smells of grassy, spicy, resinous hops with a bit of caramel and rye toast in the background. Taste is resinous hops spicy rye with some caramel hidden deep in the back. Finishes a bit dry with a lingering resinous bitterness. Medium to Thick Body, grainy mouthfeel, crisp carbonation. This beer smells incredible and tastes pretty good too.

Out of a bottle brought back from the brewery. Pours a hazy pale - looks very much like a hefe. Nice white head. Aroma of exotic fruit and some orange. Very nice. Full, chewy mouthfeel with nice bready yeast. Nice bitterness, as well as great fruit flavor. Bitterness comes through on the finish as well.

Rating #1000. 22 oz. bottle, pours murky dark orange with a tiny beige head. Aroma of intense rye malts, herbal hops and a little caramel. Flavour follows exactly as expected - lots of rye, herbal flavours (marijuana), and resinous hops - heavy on the malt backing but still with pungent hops. Delicious.

A golden amber DIPA with a thin lacing white head. A superb pungeant aroma with loads of next generation hops, intense and pinhey, loads of menthol, meaty quality. In mouth, a surprisingly smooth IPA with well balanced c-hops, and biscuitty malt, quite nice. An exercise in restreint and excess, that was well done. On tap at Hair of the Dog, Sept. 4, 2010.

Shipped to me by my wife on a trip to Portland. Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy golden-apricot color with a huge yellow-white head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was lovely sweet pine, grapefruit, pineapple and caramel - the brew smelled much like a pineapple upside down cake. The flavor was tangy and sweet with strong notes of grapefruit, pineapple, pine, sugar and pear with a tart and almost chalky middle and a long tangy, tart and fruity finish. Moderately full bodied. Lovely.

Bottle with many thanks to scrizzz. Pours a slightly hazy gold with millions of little bubbles making their way to the surface but failing to make much of a head. Aromas are crisply hoppy... lots of citrus and pine with a touch of sweet pear or honey or something. Flavor is very nice for an imperial IPA... normally I like the hoppy ones and don’t like the malt bombs. This is definitely one of the hopcentric varieties. Lots of pine and lemon throughout, but a bit of a honey and light fruit sweetness take over for a little bit in the mid palate. Finish has a bit of ABV warmth and a sweet citrus edge.

Draught at the Horse Brass. Deep, dark amber-orange color, cloudy. Thin, bubbly head. Big citrus hop aroma; rich and elegant, fruity, piney, with dark fruits. Smooth, full mouth. Caramel malt flavor is light but solid. Complex and unique, with hops like a freshly squeezed grapefruit. Fantastic! Huge and elegant hop complexity. The best IPA of any strength I have tried to date.

08’ bottle. pours copper hazy, white head. aroma is hoppy with some pine and grapefruit notes, caramel malts and rye. flavors, my style of DIPA, smooth with just hints of bittersweet; grapefruits, some caramel malts and rye to add to a creamy, full bodied mouthfeel. Light acidic finish.
