Draught at the 2011 Tanabata Beer Festival in Toyama. Earthy, grassy aroma with some citrus, metallic, some caramel malts. Dark brown with orange and lace. Earthy, hoppy, dry flavor with licorice, caramel, chocolate. Nicely bitter and dry. Clean and very drinkable. Good stuff.

Med-amber brown color. Cherries, wood and green apples in the nose. Full malty mouth with green apples and cinnamon. Well balanced. Tried again in June 2011. Completely different beer, but rating is 3.6 (average would be 3.55). beautiful nutty, milk chocolatey nose. Moderately dry, smooth malty chocolately nutty mouth. Superb example of the style. Great depth.
