Draught at Wachi. Supposedly they planned to ferment this with Trappist yeast but didn’t in the end. I’m not really sure what they did, but it didn’t taste like a Tripel at all. Big citrus aroma, peppery. Medium bronze color with a low head. Sweet flavors of caramel and lemon. Nothing Belgian—but nice enough. Basically an IPA with lots of honey-lemon. A bit too sweet, but pretty interesting citrus bang! This didn’t work as a tripel, but the yeast should change for the next batch, so I will leave it here.
