Draught at the brewpub, on September 22, 2010As Nen Tripel 25, seasonal beer.Marked 8% ABV.Murky yellow color, smallish white head. Fruity, estery, a bit phenolic scent. Sprity mouthfeel, low bitterness. Alcoholic bite after. A bit phenolic aftertaste. Estery and phenolic taste. Doesn’t taste or look straight up as a traditional Tripel, but it’s still nice.

Draught at the brewery. Very cloudy dark gold with a very tall head. Tart, citrus aroma, grassy. Somewhat sweet flavor, very fruity, with citrus and peaches. Strong sour edge. An amazingly fruity interpretation of the style. Worth a try, though a bit unbalanced.
