A pour of this beer produces a hazy gold body with a thin fleeting head of off-white. Some malt and fruit combine with some spice to make up the aroma. Sweet honey and malt flavor. Some wheat aspects are here if you search hard for them.

Light beige. No head. Slight haze. Looks absolutely terrible. Chewy nose is very sweet, going towards marshmallow and mushroom. Very sweet and alcoholic. Syrupy, very doughy pale malts. Esters, phenols farting around doing not much. Only lightly chewy but way too sweet, not balanced, and not a single source of pleasure. Not a professional calibre brew.

Pours hazy amber color with off white head. Aromas of wheat, honey and alcohol. Very sweet honey flavor with some wheat and spices and alcohol. Medium body with average carbonation. A bit too sweet and boozy for my taste. Hard to finish the bottle. This one just did not do it for me.

22 ounce bottle courtesy of cdumler and shared with Alraomon. Pours a hazy orange color with almost no head. Sweet aroma of honey, bubblegum, candi sugar, spice and hops. Taste is also sweet with notes of honey, citrus, candi sugar, bitter hops, spice and cheese. Full bodied.

Rating #1900. Pours slightly hazy copper with gold edges and white head. The aroma is a load of fermented honey and honey like fusels. If your nose wades through the layers of honey there is a moment or two of wheat and sweet malts. The taste is similar to the nose with an upfront attack of honey, honey and then some honey too. But by midway a full tasty wheat note opens up creating almost a hefewezien sensation that makes me feel like Iβm tasting banana too but Iβm not sure that is really there. The wheat and honey combination creates a short banana character. As the finish approaches a welcome note of malt, ripe plums and ripe cherries well up to join the fading honey and solid wheat flavors as the experience is carried into the after taste. I love the way this beer finishes but Iβm not wild about the way it starts. For a new brew at 11% ABV the alcohol is very well hidden. Iβve had 8% beers with bigger booze flaws. Personally Iβd prefer a wheat forward brew rather than this honey forward one. Iβm not so sure it will even out with age. Iβve gone down the big honey brew road before and years later my creation really never wavered or smoothed out. But hopefully this one will be different.

Bottle from a trade with Hank1980. Pours with a small, white heead that goes and a hazy golden body. Aroma of honey, clove, banana, vanilla, alcohol and toffee. Taste is hot (alcohol wise), with bananas, vanilla, toffee, and honey. Warming on the palate, syrupy mouthfeel and decently high levels of carbonation.

Thanks to goldtwins for sharing - turbid gold beer - smells phenolic, wheaty, and sweet, like an amped-up hefe, even though it’s labeled as a wheat wine - the taste is all imperial weizen - tangy, wheaty and sweet - a lot of orange and banana - full-bodied and strong, but not boozy - it hides its alcohol well, which most imperial weizens don’t, so that is a welcome change - quite nice.
