Hard to pick out the grain profile here. Citrusy hops with rye. Some notes of certain barley, and the rye brings some note of sour mash here. Good finish, with notes of grass. Golden hazy pour with ok head and lacing. Tap at brewpub.

Swingtop, 2/4/14, from Jesterdeal, drunk on 2/16/14
Lovely golden-pear colored body is topped by a smattering of white head that recedes to cover. Light haziness to it that increases as I get towards the bottom of the growler.
Very light tartness in the nose, just a hint of lactic-like cheesiness followed by dry wheat and oat cream-like notes and floral hoppiness that mixes with pepper phenols. Extremely dry and clean, no flaws or alcohol.
Light bubblegum, pears and wheat creaminess in the mouth with a touch of lemon zest spiciness from the hops, plentiful pepperiness from the yeast and a soft but ample body showcasing the supple texture provided by the different grains. This swingtop is 12 days old and it says "Drink within 48 hours" which I initially took to mean, after opening. But I’m thinkin they meant within filling...Anyways, my rating definitely reflects how this would be fresh on draft, not 12 days old in a growler. Pretty frickin good. Thanks Jesse!

Draft @ Tired hands, 1/24/2012. I prefer this over the H.C.S I sample right before it. Really beautiful flavor of fresh cut grass, zesty yeast with a chewy mouthfeel from the oats the brewer uses. The flavor is balanced with sweet grain and a nice level of bright citrus hops. The finish is clean and real refreshing. This would be great in the summer but also works well in the cold of January. Great classic example of the style.

1L growler, sent from callmemickey (thanks a lot, Ryan), pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of dry wheat upfront some rustic farmhouse notes and hay. Flavour is extremely refreshing, with loads of dry wheat, lightly tart citrus, hay and some rustic notes. Quite flavourful for a sub-5% beer. Extremely refreshing and well-constructed. Great stuff.

Growler received in trade. Thank you callmemickey! Pours tiny hazy golden with a big frothy and bubbly white head that leaves some sticky lacing and trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is very tiny sweet, spicy and phenolic with crackers, sour strawberries, allspice, lime juice, grapes, unripe banana, cloves, sour cherry gumdrops, cilantro, dry wood, dusty oatmeal flakes, cereal, hay, cinnamon, apple skins, pie crust and lemon zest. Taste is tiny sweet, fruity and spicy with crackers, allspice, cloves, unripe banana, sour cherries in sugar syrup, orange zest, cilantro, unripe strawberries, tropical fruit popsicle, oatmeal, apple sauce, cereal, unripe kiwi fruit, black pepper, dry wood, unripe sour pears and very subtle hints of sheet metal. Mouthfeel is tiny round, slightly spicy astringent, tiny watery, tiny fruity tart and light bodied. Finish is slightly sweet, bitter and spicy with crackers, unripe banana, cloves, allspice, hay, black pepper, dry wood, grape skins, unripe plums, unripe banana, oatmeal and apple skins. Extremely phenolic which received mixed ratings but I kind of like it... Refreshing!
