Dark and elegant, but above all, palatable and pleasantly malty – this is how Ottakringer Dunkles presents itself. Four carefully selected special malts give the darkest of our beers its aromatic character. Mainly chocolate, but also a hint of cocoa and coffee are combined to create a mellow yet intense taste experience. The dark malts give the beer a certain sweetness which makes additional sweetening unnecessary. This variety of aromas would even make wine drinkers jealous! Our draught dark beer is unfiltered like a dark Zwickl.

Bottled, alc. 4.5%.
Red-ruby-brown color, small mostly vanishing off-white head. Malty, mash aroma. Malty flavor, strong taste of wort - there is even similarities to low alcohol beers. Not very typical Dunkel. Dry aftertaste.

(Bottle 50 cl) Chestnut brown with a distinct reddish hue and a creamy, beige head. Lovely roasted, sweetish, malty flavour - almost candy like. Limited bitterness. Very easygoing Dunkel. 170805

Bottled(500ml). -quite nice dunkel, light caramel aroma with some brown sugar hints, pale brown coloured with medium head. The biggest lack of this beer is that it has only 4.2% alcohol content
