Draft at the 16th Annual California Brewers Festival. Pours hazy gold with a large foamy off-white head. Mild barnyard and pepper aromas. Same for flavor, except lots of pepper. Finishes dry, bitter and perhaps funky. Very nice.

Draught. Poured pale gold with medium white head. Very little lacing. Spicy aroma, a little ginger, a little coriander a little something else. Light to medium body, some spiceness, some maltiness. Light finish. a little more ginger, a bit of hop. Perhaps they need ’n bietjie less ginger.

Draught. Light copper gold color. Aroma: GINGER! Flavor: less ginger, yeasty, light fruits, amber malt. Muddled. Too much ginger; rather poorly done.

Draft, Amber beer with a nice off-white head. Spicy, malty, orange, ginger aroma. Nice yeasty flavor with some citrus, earth, and spice (some ginger definitely in there). Medium body. Yeast and spice linger. Not bad.
