Tap at the Watering Hole. Dark amber brown, bit cloudy. Small golden head. Aroma is lightly spicy, biscuity malt, Belgian yeasty, maybe. Taste is very good initial ginger spice, then malty sweetness, lightly fruity, decent creamy body, bananas, lovely. Further down sweetness becomes more dominant. Good stuff.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy, medium brown color with a rocky, frothy, ice cream head. Big banana and clove aroma with a bit of chocolate. No clear dark malts. Chocolate malt flavor with creamy banana—banana split! Sweet, creamy, pretty full-flavored, with decent dark malts. Quite fruity. Nice, but a bit too sweet and cloying.

Dark brown color, slightly alcoholic nose with touches of cinnamon and apples. Light and yeasty mouth with a fair amount of buscuity character. A bit chalky and unbalanced, but not bad. Yeasty finish.
