DBA—a.k.a. Double Barrel Ale—is the trailblazing flagship beer that started it all for us back in 1996. Partially fermented in our patented Firestone Union oak-‐barrel brewing system, DBA quickly took the Central Coast by storm and set the pace for future beers to come. Today, DBA is regarded as a California classic, and stands as an iconic tribute to traditional cask-‐fermented English ales. Pale malts create a smooth middle with ribbons of caramel, English toffee and toasted oak.

A light copper colour, a head is big and blond. Aroma is fresh, citrus, some dry woodness, simple. Taste has surprisingly fresh citrus, some biscuits and toffee-wood, quite mild bitterness but still enough, quite dry. Almost medium bodied. This beer shows that it's possible to brew a fresh beer from the brittish incredients.

(Bottle) Pours clear coppery amber with small off-white head. Malty aroma with hints of veg. Medium body, well carbonated, giving smooth mouthfeel with hints of stickiness. Taste is malty with grassy and tea notes, with plenty of bitterness in the finish. Pleasant enough, but a bit odd.

Nice creamy longlasting head, clear light amber color. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish spiced, weeds, worth, wet hay, grass, minerals, oak, cereal, caramel, toast, spices, butterscotch, paper. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, weeds, wet hay, minerals, alcohol, oak, grass, worth, paper, bark. Medium bitterness, watery and harsh mineraly mouthfeel. What the crap?!
