Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, molasses, chocolate, brown sugar, alcohol, coffee, licorice and hint of soya. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, sweet, coffee, chocolate and licorice finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Draught. Opaque black liquid with medium tan head. Aroma of coffee, light licorice light ash, chocolate, raw sugar and toast. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of coffee, bitter chocolate, light licorice and raw sugar. Full bodied with medium carbonation. Extremely good. Super smooth and clean.

Draught @ Warpigs. Aroma has rubbery tones, some slightly salty licorice and herbal notes. Flavour has rubbery tones, somewhat salty licorice, some syrupy sweetness and herbal notes. Not that good, too sweet and sticky; drinkability suffers.

Taste is smooth, roasty and sweetish with loads of licorice, coffee, chocolate, hints of ash and wood. Finish heavy, sweetish and roasty with some licorice and booze. Heavy and sweet imperial stout.
