So good it’s almost wrong. Dark ruby in color and brewed with seven varieties of imported malts. Complex in finish, with hints of smoke and peat, paired with a malty richness and a right hook of hop power to give it the bad attitude that a beer named Dirty Bastard has to live up to. Ain’t for the wee lads.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey, consumed on 9/11/2015. Dark ruby brown with beige head. Aromas of dark fruit, caramel, toffee. Tastes of dark fruit, caramel, toasty notes, toffee. Medium body with a dry finish.

12/08/2015 - 33cl bottle @Erwin’s platform on the Schelde. Thanks for sharing. Great evening Dark brown colour with small tanned head. Fruity, chocolate, coffee in the nose. Taste is coffee, chocolate, caramel, nice.

35,5cl bottle from Drink Shop, Tallinn. Pours slightly hazy deep ruby to copper coloured with a fairly modest, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, malt and hints of wood. Sweet, very sweet, but still surprisingly drinkable and surprisingly tasty. Usually I wouldn’t be a big fan of beers like this, but somehow it works. It is somehow balanced and it’s surprisingly smooth and drinkable.

Tap at the Birmingham Beer Bash, 2015. Poured a hazy dark brown with a round off white head. The aroma is rich alcoholic fruit, malt. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a big sweet chewy malt, spicy, Black Forest gateaux, toffee caramel, heart warming palate. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel.
