First brewed in 2003. Pale in color but packed with flavor, Mojo reflects the perfect balance of hop bitterness and malt character. The unique Amarillo hop creates a big, grapefruit-like citrus flavor and aroma, making Mojo a very zesty IPA that's crisp and refreshing.

A dark ipa. Aroma of fruit and hops. The flavor is full of fruit goodness, with of course more hops. A great floral taste.

(original rate in 2004 - update to reflect current tastes - one dimensional and overly sweet, but does have some decent citrus notes - alcohol is a bit too apparent - meh, it’s okay) This is a pretty solid IPA - good head and impressive lace - spicy grapefruit nose - crisp yet creamy - well balanced malt/hop ratio - citrus combines with a bit of caramel nicely - top notch.

Cloudy amber, with a large head. Sour grapefruit in the noce- nice. VERY hoppy with lots of tang to it. Nice beer.

Perfect orange tinted golden colour with a great thick dense off-white head. Sensational aroma of grapefruity and citrus hops, peaches and even some pear sweetness. Seriously a mouthwatering beer. Medium-bodied; Strong inital hoppy flavour mixed with the fruity sweetness fades to a subtle hop taste. Aftertaste shows a little of the hops, but much less than the inital taste. This is balanced well with malt...and truly a great beer. This 22 ounce bomber survived a trip from Denver to Detroit. Detroit to Washington and Washington to Rochester and still tastes great three months later! I bought this bottle at Total Beverage in Denver, Colorado.

Sampled at From The Vine monthly beer tasting Oct 13th, 2003: This beer is a dark copper color with a medium white head. Thin lacing. Hops and citrus in the nose. Medium-bodied and with a strong peppery hops presence. The finish is tart grapefruit and more hops. I normally like a lot of hops in an IPA but the hops flavor was on the spicy side in this brew.

Lightly hazed golden color. Creamy head and heavy lacing - a common characteristic among these hoppy Rockies ales. Fresh hop aroma with resin, herbs and a bit of citric grapefruit. Some buttery malt notes. Very piney flavor with a nice clean malt flavor backing it up. Still, the pineyness is a bit overdone. Light in body and feel for an IPA. Tingling hop resins coat the mouth. It seems that the Rockies Brewing Co has developed the habit of producing mediocre ales and heavily dry-hopping them to add character. Light finish, not very bitter.
