Peach Berliner Weisse is a German-style tart wheat beer that’s perfect for the hot summer months. Using only the best Missouri peaches, we turned an easily overdone style into a refreshing and light bodied summer beer.

10 oz draft at Bierkraft in Brooklyn, New York. The pour is a mostly clear golden with not much of a white head. The aroma is peach, along with light tart sourness. Nice natural and fresh nose. The taste is the natural peach fruit, paired nicely with the tart sour, decent wheat character, all of which is nicely integrated and smooth. The palate is light to medium bodied, crisp carbonation, dry lightly tart finish. Nice one.

Big thanks to beerman6686 for a chance to taste this great beer. Looks fairly pale. Initially it has a tad of green olive and pimento flavor in there. Smell is a little plastic and artificial. Taste on the other hand is very good, Goes perfect with sharper chees (thanks lithy). This is a pretty good beer and I appreciate the tartness in there. These sour and tart beers are so much fun. In flavor, this beer rocks. THANKS DAN! Had this a the RB pgh winter 2012 post world ending prior to Christmas beer tasting.

Bottle @ Stephen’s house, courtesy of TheAlum. Thanks Adam! (P.S. Justin, why the fuck did you miss getting me this one?) Pours a hazy, light yellow appearance with a white head. Juicy, fuzzy, peach jolly rancher, light lactic, vanilla, carbonated aroma. Very refreshing, a touch watery, very nice peachy, vanilla, bubbly carbonated flavor. Too fucking easy to drink. It could be fun to beer bong this shit. Update: tried another bottle and some butter came through. Still a tasty beer but that was a bit off putting.

5oz sampler at the brewery. I was really looking forward to trying this and the beer that piqued my interests most at the brewpub. Unfortunately, it was pretty damn disappointing. Pour is very pale but not clear, which is completely fine. However, with the first whiff I knew this wasn’t the type of beer I would enjoy. While the peach character was not heavy handed it just did not meld well with the rest of the beer. Probably because the base berliner was green. The beer was definitely not tart and if the lacto was there it was very weak and more milky in flavor than anything else. The mix of that did not make for a positive combination. Glad I did not splurge for a whole bottle of this beer.

Bottle shared with Sarah. Pours a hazy peachy gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a decent amount of funk with a combination of sweet and tart peaches. Flavor is similar with sweet and tart peaches with some funk and a bit of sweet wheat. A bit muddled.

Bottle. Pours light apricot with white head. Nose and taste of creamy peaches, lactose and light grain. Light sour milk finish with creamed peach. Lighter body.
