Lovely fiery red hue. Oddly the first impression is of unfermented wort, like I am walking in a brewery, but digging deeper it showd cherries, raisins, toffee, peaches cobbler. Much more malty than I expected, given how brashly American-ish other beers are for the style. Semi-sweet. Wow. That nose is fantastic. Malty, full body, tons of cherries, peaches, toffee and raisins. Semi-dry. Decent bitterness but not to the level I was expecting. A new world take on an English BW. Almost verging on being too clean. Very well balanced. Alcohol is not remotely noticeable. Very good

Tap at the brewpub. About 6 months aged in kegs. Orange-brown with a bit of hazy. Treacly, chocolate nose, raisins, figs. Deep, rich malt nose. Very English for sure. Not cloying but huge malt depth, raisins and figs, chocolate and toffee. Low carbonation, with a silky smooth body. Awesome stuff.
