An ale brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberry juice. Fort has a Belgian-style base, then we follow a similar fermentation process to the one we use on beers like 120 Minute IPA and World Wide Stout.

Fort is an excellent candidate for cellaring. Grab a few bottles, enjoy one now and lay the others down for a few years. Want to know when the Fort you find was bottled? Check the 'Bottled On' date on the neck of each bottle.

Fort is also an excellent food beer. Our favorite pairings include anything chocolate or a nice piece of duck.

The Fort label art was designed by our rock-and-roll friend Tara McPherson. Tara also did the label art for our Chateau Jiahu and our 2012 Seasonal Prints and Uber-Tap Handle. Can you tell we kinda love her work?!

Bottle at WWT. Reddish brown with short lasting head. Raspberry jelly, dough, strawberries, hoerenkots, caramel. Then some rotten strawberries come through. Taste is quite sweet with an alcoholic bitterness. Full bodied with lots of alcohol, bit too much alcohol for me.

Bottle @ WWT IV. Hazy brown color, small off-white head. Smell and taste are heavy and strong: alcohol, sweetness, raspberry, a touch of hops. Medium body and carbonation. Quite good, though it doesn’t need this much alcohol imo.

2006 bottle thanks to Gibson. Pours a cloudy orange with no head. The aroma is raspberry seed and booze. Medium mouth with very sweet raspberry syrup, booze is very strong with this one with the sweetness a little overbearing.

Many thanks to Kappldav123 for sharing this bottle! Clear red amber with a lasting off-white head. The aroma is fresh raspberry. Surprisingly there is no alcohol in the aroma.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass deep golden, a bit oily, alcoholic and fruity aroma. Starts very strong, warming, quite alcoholic, fiery. Fruity notes in the background, but the alcoholic notes are much stronger and more present. Finish warming, malty, still fiery-alcoholic. Nice experience but not an every day beer.

750 mL bottle from Wine Warehouse. 2008 vintage, aged intentionally to allow it to mellow out. Pours a hazy red color with no head. Aroma of tart berries, earth, booze. The taste is berries, citrus, earth, honey, prickly booze. Medium-full bodied, fairly hot still, low carbonation, almost mead-like. Pretty solid and it seems like it’s held up well. 100th Delaware rating!
