An ale brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberry juice. Fort has a Belgian-style base, then we follow a similar fermentation process to the one we use on beers like 120 Minute IPA and World Wide Stout.

Fort is an excellent candidate for cellaring. Grab a few bottles, enjoy one now and lay the others down for a few years. Want to know when the Fort you find was bottled? Check the 'Bottled On' date on the neck of each bottle.

Fort is also an excellent food beer. Our favorite pairings include anything chocolate or a nice piece of duck.

The Fort label art was designed by our rock-and-roll friend Tara McPherson. Tara also did the label art for our Chateau Jiahu and our 2012 Seasonal Prints and Uber-Tap Handle. Can you tell we kinda love her work?!

Admin Note: Alcohol fluctuates on this one (16% - 17% ABV)

bottle. Holy Cow! That is intense in every way. Thankfully split with a friend. For 18%, it's incredibly easy to drink. worth the experience

Poured from bottle date looks like 2009 ruby red with a nice tan head and good legs. Strong aroma of raspberry dark fruit and caramel. Taste is dark fruit berry jam lingering alcohol finish. Wow.

Syrupy orange pour with a tall head. Fruity and fusel alcohol aroma with light caramel malt. Fire nose. Thick body. Very raspberry syrup from beginning to end. The fiery booze is surprisingly well hidden but the fruit. The heat of the booze shows itself by the burning sensation on the tongue much like a shot of something. I was a bit worried about this initially, and it’s gonna put me on my two-pack for sure, but it’s surprisingly "easy" for the abv.

(bottle) clear, bright reddish orange colour with a medium tall white head; aroma of raspberry juice, candy; balanced, muted flavour, well hidden alcohol considering the ABV

On tap at brewery. Usually I expect this kind of wallop from an Imperial Stout or a barleywine. This one come from a jar of jelly, at least that’s what it smells like. Silky pour, aroma of berries, taste comes on full fruit with associated alcohol burn. Really strong, but tasty. It will just take a while to get through....

12 ounce bottle into signature tulip glass, bottled on 10/23/2015. Pours slightly hazy reddish copper color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lightly tart raspberries, raisin, plum, cherry, fig, pear, apple, pepper, candi sugar, toasted bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, raspberries, and moderate malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big lightly tart raspberry, raisin, plum, cherry, fig, pear, apple, pepper, candi sugar, toasted bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of yeast/alcohol spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of raspberry, raisin, plum, cherry, fig, pear, apple, pepper, candi sugar, toasted bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, raspberries, and moderate malt sweetness; with a great sweet/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from yeast/alcohol spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly slick/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light-moderate warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an awesome imperial Belgian fruit beer! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, raspberries, and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth to sip on for the enormous ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

bottle from kappldav123 - cheers! Amber with a red glow, dense head. Fruity nose. Malty start with lots of raspberries. Not too sweet, the raspberry character is well retained.

Bottle @ WWT IV, small sample. Hazy purple color, short head. Strong fruity nose, quite alcoholic as well. Thick, fruity, quite sweet. Bit too alcoholic.
